Crunchyroll came out swinging at Anime Expo 2025, revealing a packed lineup of anime announcements that had fans cheering in Los Angeles and online. From long-awaited sequels to brand-new series, the panel covered everything anime lovers could ask for — and then some.

Leading the charge was the much-anticipated anime adaptation of Daemons of the Shadow Realm, the latest project from Fullmetal Alchemist creator Hiromu Arakawa. Animated by Studio Bones and directed by Masahiro Ando, the series introduces a mystical world where twins Yuru and Asa wield the power to control mighty beings known as Daemons. Fans got a short teaser and the promise of more updates soon.

Black Clover also made a big return, with Season 5 officially in production by Studio Pierrot. Creator Yuki Tabata appeared on stage to thank fans for their decade of support. Although a premiere date wasn’t announced, the teaser and panel energy were enough to reassure fans that the magic is far from over.
